Enrolling in 4-H

If you’re interested in participating in the Grand County 4-H program, follow the steps below to learn more and to get enrolled.

  1. Pick a 4-H Club
    1. Clubs Section (this info is lower down)
    1. Contact the Grand County Extension Office to find out more about our local clubs
  2. Pick your project(s)
    1. 2022-2023 Project List
      1. We recommend that new members select 1 -2 projects for their first year. It is important not to take on too much at once!
  3. Enroll (after October 15) on Colorado 4-H Online(https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in)
    1. Follow the instructions below for tips on how to enroll.
  4. Pay your enrollment fees.
    1. $40 Enrollment fee
  5. Order your project literature.
    1. Contact the Extension Office to make sure you are ordering the correct materials for your project and year.
  6. Meet with the Extension Office
    1. All first year members are required to have a meeting with the Extension Office. This way we can answer any questions and make sure you are prepared for your first year in 4H.
  7. Get Involved!
    1. Attend your local club meetings (You must attend 6 within the 4H year)Start working on your projects
      1. It is best to start as early as possible so that you
    1. Discover the fun that is 4H!

Tips for using the 4-H Online Enrollment system:

  • Be sure to know which club you want to join and which projects you’re interested in before enrolling, as you’ll be asked to select a club and projects during the process. You can change projects through May 1.
  • If you need help choosing a club call the office at 970-724-3436.
  • The Animal Care and Housing form is only required for children in animal projects who are NOT housing their animals on their own property. If this is required for you, be sure to get the proper signatures.
  • If you have problems or questions about enrolling using 4-H Online, call the Extension Office at 970-724-3436.

4-H Payment

Visit Colorado 4-H Online, after October 15th to enroll in 4-H.

  • 4-H members pay $40 per year to participate in 4-H.
  • Additional 4-H Fees
    • Shooting Sports – discipline dependent.
    • Leathercraft – Class/Leader dependent.
  • You will receive an email invoice once you enroll.
  • You can pay in person at the Extension Office by check or cash. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit cards at this time.
  • If paying by check:
    • Pay to the order of: Grand County CSU Extension
    • Mail payments to: Grand County CSU Extension, PO Box 475, Kremmling, CO 80459

For the Calendar page if you can embed a Calendar like Routt County has, that would be great. We will have to go through and add events into it at another time. (Likely after fair)
